Enter for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind guitar, handcrafted by Asheville luthiers Jayne Henderson, Kyle Landers, and Judson Riviere, using wood salvaged from the debris of Hurricane Helene. This stunning instrument, featuring white oak, red spruce, and flamed maple, showcases the artisans’ unique skills: Jayne’s expertise in crafting the body from local materials, Kyle’s masterful neck shaping, and Judson’s intricate binding and purfling. The custom fingerboard, designed to evoke the WNC mountains or a flowing river, is a testament to their collaborative artistry.

All proceeds will go to supporting the Local Artist ReLEAF Fund to aid Western North Carolina artists impacted by Hurricane Helene. The winner will be drawn on the LEAF Main Stage during the LEAF Festival, October 16-19, 2025.

Mayani is a Maasai boy from longido Arusha. He went to boarding school at 6 years old and lost his Maasai language and tradition. Since joining the LEAF program, he has learned to sing Maasai songs, practiced the ‘jump’ tradition and wear Maasai shukas (traditional clothing). Mayani is extremely happy and is currently teaching other youth the culture.
