Biko Casini is a percussionist, ngoni player, and songwriter who is best known for his roll as the backbeat of Rising Appalachi, and as a member of the West African contemporary duo Arouna & Biko. His love of tradition dovetails with his passion for experimentation and create a sound that is both organic and futuristic…acoustic and subsonic. Biko strives to use music as as bridge between cultures and viewpoint…and provide for music to be built upon.
