Asheville, it’s time to get down with the get-down!! Here’s a night that is made for those that like to move creatively to the sounds of some banging beats!! Hosted by veteran dancer Otto Vazquez, featuring the sounds of Dj Brett Rock, this night is made to share and build with local dancers and special guests! Mayani is a Maasai boy from longido Arusha. He went to boarding school at 6 years old and lost his Maasai language and tradition. Since joining the LEAF program, he has learned to sing Maasai songs, practiced the ‘jump’ tradition and wear Maasai shukas (traditional clothing). Mayani is extremely happy and is currently teaching other youth the culture.
