Let’s Dance
Join us in March for Let’s Dance led by LEAF Resident Teaching Artist Haunani Orsillo!
As a Native Hawaiian and Resident Artist with LEAF Global Arts, Haunani shares hula as a living expression of her heritage and a bridge to her ancestral roots. This ongoing series invites the community to experience the stories, rhythms, and values carried through generations.
What to Expect: Together, we will explore more than just choreography. We will dive into the:
-
Storytelling & Music: The narratives that shape every movement.
-
History & Language: The cultural foundations that give the dance its meaning.
-
Spirit of Aloha: A practice grounded in respect, curiosity, and connection.
This series opens a space for the public to engage with Hawaiian culture through shared rhythm and movement. Whether you are looking to build community or seek a deeper understanding of this vibrant tradition, all are welcome to learn and connect through the practice of ʻike (knowledge).
“Come be part of a practice grounded in heritage, connection, and the spirit of the ancestors.”
When: Every Tuesday, 6-7pm
Where: LEAF Global Experience, 19 Eagle St
Who: Everyone is welcome!
