LEAF Lit Live!

LEAF Lit Live! poetic exploration and spoken-word presentation!

From The louder ARTS Project and LEAF Global Arts.
It’s time to push the boundaries of the ARTS World and to let black, brown, and indigenous artists be genuinely seen and heard.
Join us on Facebook Live for our 3rd LEAF Lit Live! Spoken Word Literary Showcase, Thursday, December 3, at 7 PM Eastern time. Our hosts Lynne Procope and James Navé will guide you through this provocative poetic evening of poetry and conversations.
Our features include Cheryl Boyce Taylor, Rico Fredrick, Samatha Thornhill, and Yesenia Montilla. Our theme is Allegeria-Allegeria, which means happiness, cheerfulness, and joy. We hope you can join us. Visit the poets and learn more at Stream LEAF Lit Live! on LEAF Global Arts Facebook page,

Mayani is a Maasai boy from longido Arusha. He went to boarding school at 6 years old and lost his Maasai language and tradition. Since joining the LEAF program, he has learned to sing Maasai songs, practiced the ‘jump’ tradition and wear Maasai shukas (traditional clothing). Mayani is extremely happy and is currently teaching other youth the culture.
